I scored 91.67 overall agggregate marks in my 12th isc board.I would like to know may I secure a seat in merit list of grant in aid for ba?

icipshita Student Expert 29th Jul, 2019

hi,

the competition is very steep especially for Bachelor of Arts in Fergusson college, in pune because a huge number of students apply for the admission process every year. 91.67 overall aggregare marks or percentage in Higher secondary examinations i.e. 10+2 board examinations will not be enough for you to secure a seat in the first list but definitely in the second list.

I am a an out Maharashtra students who scored 94.2 in ISC 2019. What are my chances to get into Fergusson college for BA?

icipshita Student Expert 29th Jul, 2019

hello,

Fergusson College in Pune is one of the most sought after college in the country especially for the Bachelor of Arts courses that the college provides. Hence the competition is very very tough. Although 94.2% in ISC 2019 i.e. Higher Secondary examinations or 10+2 board exams is a very good score, you might have to wait for the second list of admission in the college.

I have done B. Com from IGNOU and want to pursue an MA in English. IGNOU certificate valid for admission?

pdwords Student Expert 13th Jul, 2019

Hello,

IGNOU degrees are valid and recognized, so you can definitely pursue higher studies with these degrees.

Now, admission criteria differs, some may take admission on merit basis and other might conduct entrance exam. For that you need to check with the University that you're seeking admission in. Also, you need to check the eligibility criteria since you have done graduation in commerce stream. Some universities might prefer having English as a main subject at graduation level.

However, that should not be concern, so many people from different stream go ahead with MA English.

Hope, this helps.

What is cost of management quota in fergusson College for Msc Physics

Saloni 20th Jun, 2019

hi ketan,

that is something which is not published anywhere and can be known only by meeting vice chairman of Deccan Education Society with an application or the Principal of the Vice Principal also might guide you for the same. Few of the first year courses have management quota which is mostly 15%. So, you can just infer whether your course has a management quota or not.

hope it helps!
