Diploma in Food Science and Technology is a very useful course as according to an IBEF report, India's food processing industry ranks sixth in the world in terms of production, consumption, export, and predicted growth, accounting for 32 percent of the country's food market.

Furthermore, India's food processing industry is one of the world's largest, with revenues estimated to exceed INR 40 thousand billion by 2025-26. It is also predicted to generate 9 million jobs by 2024.

After completing 12th grade or an equivalent level, students can pursue food technology courses at the diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. Some of the Certification courses, however, can be taken after the tenth grade.

The eligibility of the course is your 10th or 10+2th obtained marks, on the basis of which you will be allotted a seat.

No there is not a PhD program for students of food nutrition.

You can take another college for a PhD. there are many universities all over India which provide PhD in food and nutrition.AIIMS is the only medical-related PhD program in embryology, pathology, etc.

Is BSc food science and nutrition available in GITAM University Hyderabad?

There is bsc Food technology course which is availbel in GITAM University, which is some way the similar course as Bsc Food science and Nutrition.

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Food Technology (Hons.) is three years (6 Semester) full-time undergraduate program offered by GITAM Institute of Science, Visakhapatnam campus  at GITAM University, Visakhapatnam.

The Fees structure for this course is INR 1,80,000 for full course.

Admission Procedure will on the basis of :

  • Through GSAT
  • Candidates seeking admission to the above programs are required to appear for an entrance test GSAT to be held at various centers in Andhra Pradesh and other parts of India.

can we write RD exam after doing M.sc home science nutrition, food service management and dietetics
