which class there is food science as a subject?

Muskan Shokeen 9th Jan, 2022

Hello Aspirant.

Hope you are doing well.

So yes food science is there as a subject but some schools or board may include it in class 9 or 12th etc. it depends from institution to institution or board to board because each one has the different set of rules and regulations and the terming conditions. Whereas there are also type of cases or chances that food science will be taught in college rather than school if you choose to study that subject or wanna go in that particular field of area.

GOOD LUCK, STAY MOTIVATED AND HOPE THIS HELPS.

Thankyou.

in a military camp there is food for 30 days for 50 soldier assuming that average male of every soldier is same if 25 more soldier drawing then how many days this food will last

Aditya 7th Jan, 2022

Hi aspirant,

The question mentioned above can be easily solved by applying the concept of unitary method. If for 50 soldiers food is sufficient for 30 days, then for one soldier food will be sufficient for 50*30 days . Now if 25 more men are are included in the camp the total number of soldiers become 75. Therefore now the food will last for, 50*30/ 75 days which is equal to 20 days.

Hope it helps!!

why do many people dont mention joint international Programme in food science and technology as a course whenever theres discussion about courses offered at IIT Guwahati?

Anish Pal 14th Feb, 2022

Dear Aspirant

Unlike computer science and allied fields food science and technology offer lower placement packages. According to my opinion there is no ranking/hierarchy between branches but there's a placement variable to decide the popularity of a particular branch. In case you wish to study Food Science and Technology from IIT Guwahati you are most welcome to do that. At top colleges like IIT Guwahati you'll get great exposure for your career and higher studies.

Best Wishes.

for someone to become a food scientist, which college would you prefer for m.tech - Food Engineering at IIT Kharagpur or Joint Programme Food Science and Technology at IIT Guwahati?

Sree Student Expert 13th Feb, 2022

Hello aspirant,

Both M.Tech Food Processing Engineering in Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and International Joint Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree (IMD) in Food Science and Technology offered by Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati and Gifu University, a national University in Japan are best at there places. There are only 5 seats for Indians and another 5 seats for Japan students for Joint Master of Technology in Food Technology course in Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati which has high competition. If you can get seat then go for it or else go for M.Tech in Food Processing Engineering in Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur because it has 30 seats for this course. As you know both the Institutions has the brand called IIT, so both of them are good at their academics and placements.

To get more information about M.Tech Food Processing Engineering course in Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur go through below mentioned link.

how is the package of food engineers from IIT KHARAGPUR? i have heard from some sites like quora and found those answers to be discouraging. what is the situation of food engineers from iit kgp?

Arhana Chakraborty 11th Feb, 2022

Fields like Food Technology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering etc are not that much package wise best as we used to hear about the field such as CSE, Electrical etc. So its discouraging yet true that the packages of BTech in Agriculture & Food Technology at IIT KGP, will not be as good as CSE. The salary package on average is around Rs. 6-8 LPA CTC & with time it may increase but the starting salary isn't usually very much higher than this.
