Candidates must have a valid GATE Score with a qualifying score for assistantship in appropriate discipline of Engineering/ Technology. They must also have a recent TANCET score, that is conducted by Anna University.

B.Sc. Biotechnology or Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology is an undergraduate Biotechnology course. Biotechnology is a field of applied biology that involves the use of living organisms and bioprocesses in engineering, technology, medicine and other fields requiring by-products.
To be eligible for B.Tech Food Technology a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board. Candidates who have studied Biology in addition to the above subjects are also eligible. So considering this you might not be eligible to pursue B.tech in Food
