Should have passed Nutritional Biochemistry and any two subjects in the following areas: Food & Nutrition / Nutrition through the life cycle / Public Nutrition / Food Science and Processing / Diet therapy / Microbiology/ Nutrition for Adults and Elderly/ Nutrition for Children and Adolescents.

The eligibility marks for the MSc Food & Nutrition is provided below:

55% or above marks in aggregate in Home Science or Food Technology or equivalent grade points.

Nope! For the GATE examination the 3 year or 4 years BSc Students are eligible to sit for the examination. Essentially after the BSc, GATE don't offer that much of a opportunity. I would recommend you to go for the other university entrances and complete your MSc and then you can apply (after MSc or during MSc as the GATE score is valid for 2 years) through GATE for PhD and other studies.
