Hello,
No, NEET isn't compulsory for BSc Forensic Science, in fact admission to BSc Forensic Science can be merit based or done through entrance test such as LPUNEST, SUAT,JET etc generally its eligibility criteria is passed 10+2 preferably in science stream securing 50% or above aggregate(this may vary depending upon the norms of the university), NEET is mainly for admission to MBBS/BDS/Ayush Courses/BVSc , in states like Maharashtra, admission to BPT is done on NEET scores, or even Jamia Hamdard provide admission to BPharm on NEET scores, these are few of the exceptions, but generally speaking NEET scores isn't mandatory for pursuing a career in forensic science, to know more details regarding this, visit our page at https://www.careers360.com/courses/forensic-science-course
Hey aspirant,
I wouldn't be able to suggest you with which branch you should go for. As,this is a really important decision amongst the students. You should only go with that branch in which you feel you are more comfortable and interested. It's but obvious that you wouldn't want to waste your 4 years of life in studying something in which you are not at all interested.
Now, talking about both the streams then both the streams have interesting subjects but when it comes to career line then you may find difficulties in forensic sciences because there are very less private companies that hire forensic students. Also it doesn't matters if you have done bachelors or masters in this stream because the no. Of companies are less and whereas talking about govt then there is high competition as for labs both the stream students can apply i.e, forensic and pure science.
So, for a better career and job I would recommend you to go with biotechnology as there are many companies which hire students from biotechnology like nestle, Delloite etc.
But as I said the stream should be totally chosen upon your interest.
Hope it helps!
