Jitendra Chauhan College, however, does not provide any course in under graduation and post graduation other than in law courses. It is purely a law college and does not have any other department for any other course.

BSc Forensic Science is a 3-year graduate course that involves the application of scientific knowledge for the investigation of crimes. Professionals in this discipline apply their knowledge of science to analyse the evidence found at a crime scene.

Eligibility Criteria for this course

  • You should have completed 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognized board.
  • You should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and/or Maths as main subjects in 10+2.
  • You should have scored a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in 10+2. Some of the institutes offer some relaxation to the reserved categories.

Description of Bsc  Forensic Science course

  • It is a field of study that involves the application of scientific knowledge for the investigation of crimes.
  • The students are taught to analyze the evidence found in crime scenes like soil, blood stains, saliva, body fluids, bones, fingerprints, DNA profiling, and recovering data from computers through researching techniques/ technology, etc.

Yes, you can do MSc in Forensic Science after doing BSc in botany.

Minimum eligibility criteria for M.Sc. in Forensic Science course may vary across institutes. Primarily, the criteria include:

  • B.Sc (Hons) in Physics or Applied Physics or Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry or Toxicology or Industrial Chemistry or Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or Statistics or Biology (Zoology or Botany or Genetics or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Physical Anthropology) with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University.
  • B.Sc of minimum 3years duration with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University. Also, the candidate must have studied from the at least 1st year (2 semesters) of the 3 years degree course any 2 subjects out of Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Biology (Zoology/Botany/Genetics/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Physical Anthropology).
  • B.Sc Forensic Science with at least 50% marks in aggregate from any recognized university.
  • B.Tech (Mechanical or Civil or Electronics or Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering or Computer Science) with at least 50% marks in aggregate from any recognized University.

Eligibility: 10+2 from a recognized board of education in science stream.

Mode of admission: admission is done on the merit basis in these subjects: physics, chemistry, biology/maths.

the basic eligibility criteria to take admission for the course M.Sc forensic science candidate must hold a bachelors degree of any recognized university in any relevant stream of science and candidate must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 55 percent marks at their graduation level.
