Average salary of a BSc. Forensic Science fresher is 3-4 lakhs per year, however after few years of experience, the salary might range from 6-8 lakhs.
Average salary of a paramedic in India is 1-2 lakhs per year.
But the demand of a paramedical staff is much more than that of a Forensic Scientist. Thus you have to think attentively and then take your decision.
Which school? Uh were in?....i want to take the same stream
Hello Kavyanjali,
To be honest their are very less job opportunities after B.Sc Forensic Science in India. Even I'm also a Forensic science student and I'm facing a same problem like yours.
So I'll suggest you to do your masters first, if you want a good job and then go for the job in FSL and CFSL.
HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU

Hello Maneesha,
The first and the most important thing is that you should pursue for what your interest allow you. And taking about the future scope, it's apparent that nothing is certain, but the world will definitely need more food than criminal analyzers.!
As the industries and infrastructures are expanding, the agricultural land is contracting. But food is must and will always be. Food production and the amount of agricultural output is expected to grow till 2030, as per a report by the Food and Agriculture organisation. With a projected growth of 1.4% in the aggregate crop production worldwide, the demand for supplies and solutions from industries working in the periphery of the agricultural sector is expected to rise. Optimized productivity will be sought as a solution. The graduates are also being accepted by the government as well as private sectors. You can work in the agricultural departments, Extension services, Research organizations, Commercial farming, etc.
The scope of forensic science study is also vast. You can get jobs in various governments & private sectors here also. It will also improve your skills and knowledge. After completing your degree, you can open your own forensic practice & forensic service offices. You also may employ in Forensic Laboratories, Detective Offices, Banks and other Govt. and private agencies. You can get a job in India as well as overseas.
Let the choice be yours! Good luck! :)
