there is no term as such "free seat in engineering college" however if you have "Good rank" in Engineering exams and have 90% above marks in higher secondary you may have some chances for getting scholarships which directly  means that your course fees will be reduced.

If you are in SC category you will definitely get a seat for free. if you are in general category you have to pay 10 to 20 lakh per year for MBBS. The amount of money differ from college to college.
