can we expect WBSEDCL gate 2020 recruitment and what will be the expected vacancy for electrical engineering?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 30th Jul, 2020

hi,

see due to covid 19 pandemic many of the exams has rescheduled and till now many of the psus has not released its gate recruitment notifications, generally wbsedcl recruitment process includes shortlisted of candidates plus , written test or gd and personal Interview. last year for electrical engineering stream vacancy was 246, so this year there is chances of less vacancy for electrical branch. however it is not sure when the notifications would out.

mean while you may use careers360 gate college predictor and psu calling tools to know about your probable chances,

will dual degree in IITS come for the GATE 2020 score 421 in ECE branch for an OC student

Sharon Rose Student Expert 24th May, 2020

Hello,

Candidates getting admission in dual degree through JEE Advanced need not to appear in GATE.And the cut off will not be the same for dual degree through JEE Advanced and M.tech through GATE.Considering previous year cut off trends it is difficult to get seat in IITs with such score. You need to score at least 600 or above to have decent chances of getting seat in a IIT.

I got 33 marks in GATE 2020 in CS what are the chances in M Tech admission?

Anantika Kushwaha 17th May, 2020
Hello Aspirant,

With your score it might not be possible to get admission in any IIT or NIT as the cut off goes too high. You can apply in BITS or any other Institute of your interest accepting GATE score.

I got 4466 rank(498/1000) in gate 2020 can i get admission in bits for mtech in ece branch

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 14th May, 2020

hi,

see there is less chances for bits pilani by your  gate score if you opted for admission based on gate score, another option is you may appear in bits hd exam which is the entrance test for mtech admission in bits , if you get good score in bitshd exam you have decent chances for admission,

I have completed BE in Electronics and Telecommunication. I wrote and cleared GATE 2020 in Computer Science. Am I eligible to apply for Software Engineering in NIT Rourkela?

rajaman9300 Student Expert 13th May, 2020

Yes you can. If the Software Engineering Comes Under Computer Department then yes you can easily apply for that.

But, you must be having that particular GATE score to apply for. One more thing, there is no such Interview or Written Exams like in IIt's for the selection in NIT's so you can directly get the admission.

All the best!!
