Yes, you have a fair chance of getting the new IIT's. However, I would suggest getting a score of 55+. You should aim for a high score in GATE, as it increases the chances of getting good marks and helps prepare w ell for the exam.

Dear Aspirant,

unfortunately 80 marks in GATE is not sufficient to secure a seat for yourself for your master's degree in any of the IITs or NITs. You will be required to secure a much better score in order to secure a seat at IITs or NITs for your post
