Question : If the difference between the two numbers is 20 percent of their sum, then what is the ratio of larger number and smaller number?

Option 1: 6 : 5

Option 2: 5 : 4

Option 3: 4 : 3

Option 4: 3 : 2

Team Careers360 24th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: 3 : 2

Solution : Let the two numbers be $x$ and $y$.
Then,
$(x - y) = \frac{20}{100}\times(x + y)$
⇒ $x - y = \frac{1}{5} (x + y)$
⇒ $4x = 6y$
⇒ $\frac{x}{y} = \frac{3}{2}$
Hence, the correct answer is 3 : 2.

Congratulation for your JEE RANK.

According to past years cutoffs the closing rank for any branch in LNMIIT is minimum 50,000 -55,000 but your rank is 85,952 and with this it is impossible to get into any branch of LNMIIT.

I wanted to ask that whether Indian degrees are valid and accepted in Countries like UK, US etc..

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 30th Aug, 2019
Dear Tejas, yes. All Indian Degrees are valid in foreign countries. But what you need to check is the authenticity of foreign Universities and their courses. For example, MS in UK or US mostly is 1 year but in India it is 2 years. 1 year MS Course from abroad is not considered valid in India given the differences in educational system and approach in India and foreign countries.

How to get admission in UK for mbbs, i got 404 marks in neet 2019

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 13th Aug, 2019
Hello,

Indian students can apply for the medicine degrees through UCAS website. It is the official website of the UK government, which regulates the application service of all universities in the United Kingdom.
You should have high score in higher secondary exam, IB score and IELTS to secure a seat in the undergraduate medicine in the United Kingdom.

Indian and International Students with science education

MBBS in UK is classified into two aspects, with respect to graduate medical degree.

Undergraduate study, a two years program
Foundation training, two years program
Study in UK for Indian students after 12 come with certain eligibility requirements to fulfill. Local students should get a minimum of AAA grade in the science subjects. In case of Indian and international students, to study medicine, they should score a minimum of 7 in the IELTS exam. It includes four different categories that analyze the applicants, which includes, reading, writing, speaking and listening. IELTS is nothing but common English proficiency test to assess the language proficiency of the students who applied for MBBS course.

After completion of the four years course, students can opt for continue medicine with specialization.

Soon after completion of this basic four years course program, the entry process for specialization in medical field begins. It is even more competitive than getting entry to MBBS in UK.

Here, to get admission in the course high score in IELTS, good grades in higher secondary school and high level of language proficiency is mandatory.

I hope this helps.
