Bedasree 25th Oct, 2017
Hi Pratyusha, BCL Oxford has a very competitive selection procedure and applicants are required to have at least a first class undergraduate degree with honours in Law. If you do not have that you should a master's or diploma in law at distinction level. Oxford has not released any specific range of marks for applicants to be eligible for BCL. However, you have to contact NARIC or National Recognition Information Centre for the United Kingdom to find your equivalent score against their requirements.

What is the minimum percentage criteria to apply for LLM in US, UK and Europe. I hv scored .25% less than 60%. what are my possibilities?

Anonymous 30th Aug, 2017
You must have shortlisted the colleges you are interested to study LLM in so what can you do is write inquisitive e-mails to some faculty members in universities. Besides responding to concerns, they may also put you in touch with some current or former students for better guidance on the same matter.
This is difficult to predict otherwise.

I have completed MSc in physics this year.I want to complete my PhD in UK ,USA or Australia .So what are the requirements ?

nishant sharma 28th May, 2018

I would recommend you choose a more American-like model where the duration of the PhD can be longer. There are several reasons for this:

  1. You want to be as strong as possible when you start seeking a job. Who do you want to compete against? Someone who took 2--3 years to build his research program or the guy who took 5--7 years? You can be sure that the later is much better prepared to apply for funding, supervise graduate students and so on.
  2. You want to give yourself room to grow and have a margin of error. Some people do great research within 2 years... others take 5 years before the they fully bloom. You can really screw up in research sometimes (through no fault of your own). Having a margin of 2 years is very thin.
