see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on certain factors like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, your choice of stream for mtech or phd courses, however if you score 80+ out of 100, you have decent chances to get top iits, so study hard and all the best for your future endeavor.

For gate level mathematics there are many course and tutors available online try to learn from them and practice as much as you can. This will help to solve complex question as well.

Dear Shruthi , In gate , aptitude section is having weightage of 15 marks(10 for reasoning and 5 for english). These are considered as bonus marks. But many people take it lightly or leave it for last minute.

if you have already completed masters course in mathematics, you may apply for phd courses on iits iiscs, indian statistical institute. gate score holders are eligible for applying in different research organization like isro, drdo etc for scientist position. also there is some programs in iits which takes only mathematics background students who are having gate score is :

IIT Bomaby IEOR

IIT Madras Industrial Mathematics and Scientific Computing

IIT Kharagpur Computer Science and data processing

you may apply as junior research fellow position in different state universities or nits or iits when vacancy comes using your gate score.
