hello aspirant,
Looking at the previous year GATE Qualifying Cutoff trends and analytics, you have good chances to get top NIT's but I do not think and promise for IIT. For a score range of 500 to 600 in GATE, there are good chances of securing admission into top NITs. Every year, the maximum GATE 2022 cutoff for admission in NIT goes up to 800-850, the minimum cutoff stands at 350-400 . There a score range of 500 to 600 can be considered as a good performance in the GATE exam.
Further, A candidate who wishes to get direct admission into IISC/ IITs must try to score a GATE rank of nearly 1000.
Further, the above prediction is solely based on the previous year GATE qualifying Cutoff. It may vary for present year as teh GATE Cutoff and Qualifying Score varies every year and it depends on several factors like : Difficulty level of the paper , number of aspirants appearing, previous year Cutoff, etc.
Further, to know more about the GATE Previous year Cutoff branch wise, you can follow the below mentioned link to know more : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gate-cutoff
