I got 227 this year The general was closed at 182 in first counseling. Let's hope in the second but the teachers sitting there were saying that there are chances to get .And I counted there are only 7-8 students btw 182 and 227 so there are highly chances . Second counseling is on 5 July hope you get then.

The placements in GBU after BA LLB are less and the packages offered are low. 

But this should not be your only criteria for selection of a Law college. You can increase your scope for a job in a legal firm with right kinds of Internships and Moots etc. Other than that, if you are inclined towards litigation, judiciary, further education, then the placements of a college does not matter.

The admission criteria and cutoff changes every year, please follow the site for 2018's updates. Also, please be sure you check for quota seats if you are SC/ST.

Also, remember you may get a branch in 2nd/3rd counselling that you didn't get in the 1st round.

According to the following link, the total intake is only 120 students every year along with some percentage of seats reserved for SC/ST/OBC candidates. So, I think you may not be able to get admission unless the people with much less rank decide to join elsewhere.

For admission in GBU the cut off for general merit candidates was 231 in 2017 in the Civil branch. Considering this and your rank you seem to have less chances. Use the link given below to see the cut off for all courses and categories in GBU.
