Hello, Ive registered for jee mains 2026 but I was forced to register as general candidate because I didnt have ews certificate made already or applied, I wish to know if its possible to change my category if I make my ews certificate before registration of April Attempt?

AKKSHEETHA M 8th Dec, 2025

Hello,
If you mistakenly registered as a General category candidate for JEE Mains 2026, but you actually belong to OBC-NCL, you cannot change the category unless the correction window specifically allows category correction. The National Testing Agency (NTA) sometimes provides the option to edit category during the correction window, but

SUANGANA ROY 7th Dec, 2025

Good Morning,

NIT Rourkela CAT cutoff range is between 70-85 percentiles for the general category. 70 is the minimum percentile needed to apply, and 85 is the highest percentile. However, the maximum percentile depends on the particular year competition. It can be changed.

Thank You.

Shaily Mishra 4th Dec, 2025

If you filled the UGC NET form under EWS but you don’t have a valid EWS certificate, then forget using the EWS category. They won’t accept it. You’ll automatically be treated as General category during document verification.

And no, this won’t make your form “invalid” or “illegal.” It just means

Ive bsc general from IGNOU with major discipline of physics botany and zoology. I want to do msc in physics but dont have maths background though I know keen details of maths to pursue physics

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 3rd Dec, 2025

If you have completed a BSc General from IGNOU with Physics, Botany and Zoology, then your eligibility for MSc Physics mainly depends on whether the university requires Mathematics at the 10+2 or graduation level. Most universities clearly mention that candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics together during their degree.

If candidate got 48% and belong to general category, Is he/she eligible for B.pharm? if not, so how self-university Affiliated by PCI take their addmission? and now they are 2cnd semester.

Iruthaya Sahayam.J 27th Nov, 2025

Getting into a Bachelor of Pharmacy  course really comes down to the marks you scored in your 12th grade. Most universities in India ask general category students for at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Math. If you’ve got 48%, you’re a bit short of that line, so

Hello Sarthak,

Yes, you can update your category during the UPTEC/UPCET (UPTAC) counselling, but only if you have a valid OBC (NCL) certificate of Uttar Pradesh .

  • The category you filled in JEE Main does not affect your UPTAC counselling.

Jelet rank 410general can getting admission in chemical engineering kgec

SEJAL JAIN 20th Nov, 2025

Hello

With a JELET rank of 410 in the General category, getting into Chemical Engineering at KGEC is quite difficult because their cutoffs are usually much lower. KGEC is one of the top government colleges, so seats fill quickly with higher-ranked students. You might still get chances in lower-demand branches
