If you wish to pursue an honours degree, you must select one that fits your interests and goals. Psychology is your stream if you're interested in studying human and animal behaviour, but geography is the better choice if you're more interested in learning about places, environments, ecosystems, weather patterns, climate change, etc.
Both topics are beneficial for the civil service. But it's up to you how you make it, and you can only do that if you choose a topic that interests you.
