Frankly speaking, you have to prepare separately for UPSC and if you have a background to the subject then it will help you a little else there are no more advantages. Personally, I think Political Science will be better for you to study. Having a understanding in polity will help

Indira Gandhi National Open University ,New Delhi doesn't offer Masters in Geography.So,you cannot pursue Masters in Geography from IGNOU.

Ofcourse you can pursue MA from JNU even if you've done BA back in 2017. The eligibility criteria for MA is completing graduation in any stream, educational qualification on 10+2+3 basis.
