No I am sorry to say that as an art student you cannot take geology as a subject for graduation. As the subject geology consist of chemistry,physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects in class 12 . So being a humanities student, you cannot take geology. Although you can do MA

Hello student if you've Msc degree in Geology then yes you're eligible as eligibility criteria says - Candidates must have passed graduation in engineering/technology or Masters degree in any relevant science subject.
There is no upper age limit in GATE Entrance examination.
