Both of these universities are highly developed in this field.

Speaking for BHU there are dedicated faculties for particular courses and even companies like Amazon visit the campus some times for placements. Also there is a positive environment. Apart from German and french, languages such as Chinese, Russian are also taugh here.

Speaking of JNU, here to big companies such as IBM, Google, Amazon come ocassionaly to hire people. The environment is not better than BHU, but not too bad for learning.

Now coming to other institutes such as Geothe, or Alliance, these institutes are only focussed on one particular language, and have very limitted scope. If you want to master the language and have all your 2 years dedicated to one particular language, you may opt for these institutes. There are comparitively less career opportunities here, since these are private institutes for teaching language. However the quality of education that you will recieve in these will be better than those in JNU/BHU.

Apart from this, language learning has its own advantages. Once you learn a language, there are ample opportunities waiting for you.

see it will give you benefit, when you are in foreign country and knows a bit of that native language. but its really difficult to coup up the studies in German language if you dont know the German well or started to learn Germany for 3 or 6 months long. it will good if you go for universities which studies are in english.

If you want to do MA in German language form JNU then you need to have 50% in your UG degree and that will make you eligible to appear for entrance exam conducted by JNU.
JNU has a total of 23 seats for MA in German. 8 seats are for German literature students and the rest 15 for translation students.
You can go through past year question papers to get and idea of the exam.

If your course is in total German language then you have to submit proof of proficiency in German language .. German as a foreign language test (TestDaF)....and

German language test for the admission of foreign study applicant (DSH)..

And if the course is in  English language then the proof of proficiency in English language required  such as TOEF, IELTS, PBT..

Dear Komal, A visa is a conditional authorisation for a foreigner to visit another country or live in that country for a specific period of time. There are student visas, tourist visas, employment visas, spousal visas etc. You do not require a visa to study German in India.
