Does jnu provide placement after Ma in german language?

JNU provides Masters in Arts across 28 streams in which Language courses like German , Korean ,French, Arabic ,Sanskrit and more are included.

The first year fee of MA in JNU is INR 1,260.

The duration of the course is 2 years.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR MA IN GERMAN LANGUAGE  :

  • CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE AN UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE IN GERMAN LANGUAGE WITH ATLEAST 50% MARKS FROM A RECOGNIZED INSTITUTION.

PLACEMENT CELL is really active . Placement and job opportunities are enough in JNU .

Candidates having skills in respective field can be easily placed .

Students are allowed to sit for placements in 6th semester. Internships are also being provided to the students.

Students are recruited in MNCs , Foreign Embassies and companies like Anazon ,FLIPKART, Cognizant,Infosys, Google etc.

The highest salary package can go INR 12 Lakh per annum.

If we rate the academic of JNU then it would be 9.1 out of 10 . It is really a carrier building college. The value of JNU degrees are not high only in INDIA but also outside of the India.

do we need to learn German to study abroad in Germany? or good English knowledge (TOEFL) is enough to join German universities?

Dear student,

Most of the degree programs requires the students to learn German to get admission into most of the German Universities. If you learn German then you can study in German Universities with free of tution fees in most of the Public Universities.

Neither did I do Bachelors in German nor any course or diploma. Am I eligible to apply for MA German in JNU or do I need a B1 certificate to apply?

Hello,

As per the eligibility criteria laid out by Jawaharlal Nehru University, it states that candidates who have pursued graduation in any discipline from a recognized university securing 50% aggregate from a recognized university along with this you just need to possess an adequate proficiency in the language since the admission is done through entrance test and unless you have the required proficiency you won't be able to clear the exam.

JNU, Delhi offer MA in German Literature and Translation as separate degree, the entrance test syllabus is as follows-

The common areas for both paper are

  • German history from 1750 till 1914
  • German history after 1945. (Two German states; Reunification)
  • Basic Linguistics (Word Formation in German; Dependenzgrammatik;IC-analysis; speech act theory etc.)

Other this this, for German Literature candidates are required to be well acquainted with an overview of main genres in German Literature and the ability to interpret texts from these periods, Trends post 1945 till 2000 along with history of German Literature from 1750 till 1900. Representative authors and texts - an overview of the different periods from the Enlightenment to Realism.

in case of German Translation, candidates need to be possess good knowledge of German and English.

I am not a graduate student of german language but I have completed my diploma in german language, am i eligible for MA in german language in JNU?

Hello,

There must be four-year degree to study abroad (Canada or germany). but I only have three-year degree (BCA) to do what I do?

3-year duration Bachelor Degree is acceptable if you apply to private universities of Germany. There are 19 private universities and 93 private Universities of Applied Sciences.

But if you want to apply in public universities then you must have 4 years' bachelor degree.


You can also do your Master's in Canada after completion of 3 years' bachelor degree in some of the universities mentioned below:-

would there be any viva voce after the entrance exam for taking admission in MA German (interpretation and translation)?

hi,

see you did not mention in which of the institute you have appled for m.a in german (interpretation and translation). however jawharlal nehru university is a prestigious institute which offers m.a in german. admission is based on written entrance test score, which may followed by viva voice. the final decision would be taken by university authority and you have to wait for results and further notifications.

Currently I am doing my graduation in German language from Pune University. Can someone please guide me how can i get admission in EFLU for PG? Is there very limited seat for German language?And also the paper pattern is it too tough?

Hello,The English and Foreign Language University conducts the EFLU  exam for the applicants who are wishing to get admission into different UG as well as PG programmes offered by the university.

paper pattern:

  • Section I – Questions based on Foreign Language (Arabic, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish) (36 marks)
  • Section II – General Knowledge (30 marks)
  • Section III – Logical reasoning (9 marks)
  • Section IV – English language (25 marks)

The EFLU entrance exam exam pattern will be as follow:

  • Shifts: There will be two shifts of EFLU ENTRANCE EXAM
  • Parts: The two parts will be objective part & descriptive part.
  • Exam Mode: The exam will get conducted in online (Computer-based) mode.
  • Duration: The duration of each entrance test will be of two hours.
  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be allotted for each correct answer. There will be no negative marking.
  • Total Marks: The exam paper will comprises of 100 marks.

The exam not easy because there are more than 20 centers in which the entrance test is held. Further, reservations add upto 50% of the seats. Numerical numbers is not the challenge. Real challenge is the quality of the competition.

I have done my Graduation from Calcutta University in English Literature however I scored less than 50%. Currently I have been working for a MNC for more than 2yrs now. I want to pursue the dual MBA course (German) from Christ University. Am I eligible? What r my other options of good Universities?

In most of the top tier 1 MBA college , the requirement of marks of graduation in any of the institute is candidates must secure 50% score in graduation from a recognized education board. so it makes you not eligible for many of the colleges. A pass in UG Degree with an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent grade. Students pursuing the International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations. you may follow the below link to know details about eligibility criteria:

however you may apply for XAT exams which does not have 50% marks criteria. after securing good score you may get admission in colleges which accept xat score like XLMI jamshedpur, courses offers by XLRI jamshedpur is as follows:

PGDM (GM)- general management
