GNM and ANM both share a similar scope of environment but GNM offers better opportunity in terms of salary. Also, as bsc nursing is a 4 years degree so it has better prospects compared to the diploma courses and if you pursue further master courses after bsc nursing

Yes, you can pursue GNM as a private student but the eligibility criteria is that you should have passed class 12 with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with science or arts subjects.If you satisfy this criteria you can apply for it.

As per the eligibility criteria laid out by indian nursing council for pursuing GNM candidates need to pass 10+2 securing 40% marks in English and overall from a recognized board in any stream, though science in preferable, even in case of BSc Nursing ,it's mandatory to have passed 10+2
