The valid certificate for GATE or for PSU is the OBC certificate issued by the central government and the validity period of the OBC certificate is three years from the date of issuing the certificate.

Hi aspirant 

You might get newer IITs but not the core branch rather you may have to choose interdisciplinary branches.

Most probably you can easily get top NITs like MNIT ,NIT tirruchirapalli,NIT Raipur, NIT delhi etc.
