Same major problem me too. I have register too but while filling form its continuously after 2 minutes its suddenly showing pop up like session expired and we can not even save our data what we filled at that time. We have to login it again and same thing happening.

Yes, you can change the category. The correction window will open from September 24 to October 1. However, you have to pay the difference amount of Rs 750. The notification of correction window will be available on the given below link:

No you cannot appear for GATE. As per eligibility criteria students from final year graduation or Engineering can only appear for GATE exam. 

Youvalso need to produce course completion certificate while counselling  

Hence you can appear from 7th semester onwards for GATe exam. 

Generally 50% aggregate marks in graduation is asked out at majority of PsU for SC and ST and Pwd Category, Hence you shallt be eligible for all PsUs.

Secondly cutiff is based on GATe scpres as shares bekow for all categories in PsU.

The admission authority will open the correction window for GATE application form starting from September 24th till October 1st, 2019. Kindly upload the correct Appendix A form and then submit the application

The applicatio  correction facility will be available from September 24 till October 1. Howvever, you most likley won't be able to change the photo.

As to whether you application might be rejected cannot be predicted, as the final decision will be taken by GATE authorities alone.
