For being eligible for the GATE examination, you must have a bachelor's degree in engineering, irrespective of the branch you chose, or, you must be a graduate in any of the science subjects. So. you cannot appear in GATE examination unless you're a graduate.

I would suggest you to make your own study plan. You can refer to the GATE syllabus for the paper you are appearing with the syllabus of B.Tech 2, 3 and 4 years. This is because major weightage come these 3 years. Also, you can refer are articles related

After BCA you can not apply for M.tech through GATE, but for private colleges you need to contact them if they allow you for M.tech. You can go for MCA, it is a good option & MCA is an advanced and more detailed version of BCA course. The
