i assume that you are currently enrolled as an intern in IIT Madras. now coming to the GATE in my view for Gate exam one need ample time to prepare for as you have not mentioned your stream but still in order to achieve a good rank or say mark

Apart from the recruitment through GATE, PSUs do conduct their own entrance exams and interviews also. You will have to search the internet for more details. Also leading newspapers carry the ads but best to keep checking the career sections of PSUs and apply.

According to me, it is not possible to get admission in bhu if you are not qualified in gate so you have to clear exam first
