There is no age limit to appear in GATE exam. But your intention must be clear about GATE. I myself wrote exam when turned 30 yrs old. Qualified it and will be pursueing M.Tech. I was working after my B.Tech till now and felt the need for higher education

No, there will be no problem as you are eligible for M.Tech colleges and PSUs both but the only condition is you will have to submit the final year marksheet at the time of interview for PSUs or at the time of NITs/IITs counseling.

Sorry but private companies are not known to take through GATE. Only PSUs have this kind of recruitment.
