There are lots of PSUs giving jobs through gate,many companies give upper hand to gate applicants.

Gate helps you to get admission in Mtech in top indian institutions.and it's a good knowledge check of what you've learnt in whole engineering.

JRF is for mphil and PhD.and you will get admission in top universities for PHD

Hello aspirant, it depends upon the interest of the student, if he is not anymore interested in engineering, he can go for MBA with the help of CAT exam  but if he is interested into research arena or to understand more deeper concepts of engineering, you can go for gate exam, you can also take gate exam if you want a job in the government sector.

If you get very good rank then there are good opportunities for you in public sector undertaking because many of the public sector companies offer job based on the rank in the gate so if you secure very good rank then apply to this companies and after giving the interviews if you are get selected then you can get the job.

The other opportunity include admission to IISC and IIT these are the top institutes for research and engineering so if you are interested for further study you can go into them.

Hey,CSIR is exam to take JRF (junior research fellowship) and is conducted by NTA.And is GATE is exam to take admission in masters course in engineering field.Also gate score is considered for placement.If both examination are better and if want research CSIR is good.But Gate is very important exam for B.tech student so you should not skip gate exam.

Actually vit have its own entrance examination for the mtech candidate.

You must score the minimum marks to have a seat invit abd as per your rank and score you can choose your mtech subject.

But if you have a good gate score then obviously you have the preferences in case if seat allotments.
