It is directly or indirectly related with ME. So

If you like thermal, apply for ME, If you don't like thermal apply for PI.

In other terms, if you like manufacturing and management - apply for PI.

You must know that seats for ME in IIT's are 900+

I am a OBC-NCL candidate but my OBC is only valid for delhi state..what category should I fill in application from ? I know IITs and NITs are central institutes there my certificates are not valid but in few state universities like DTU, NSIT my OBC is valid and they also consider GATE score

Dear Aspirant,

If you are applying for any university which is taking admissions through National level test, then they'll only consider the national(Central) OBC certificate for eligible OBC candidates. It does not matter if the university is in your state or not.
