GEN-EWS rank is category specific as it have the list of candidates who belong to general category and are from EWS(Economic Weaker Section).

For admission in B.E mining engineering you need to take admission in a college which offers this programme.For that you would need only to appear for JEE not GATE .GATE exam is for graduates not undergraduates. So you will need to give JEE .All the best.
