when should i appear for IELTS or gre to get admission in fall spring ... is it necessary to take up both exams ??

You should fill the application latest by Oct-Sept for spring admissions for GRE. Yes it will be required to take both exam as the purpose for both is different. One is to check your english profiency and other is to check your aptitude.

The full form of GRE is Graduate Record Examinations. It is a standardised test conducted by ETS (Educational Testing Services). ETS GRE scores are accepted by most of the top graduate level schools for masters degree programs(like the popular Master of Science degree MS in USA).

This is quite difficult to get admission with these scores and to get admission in any of the university, this is compulsory to clear all your backs. So it would be better if you could share which particular college you are aiming for as the criteria varies accordingly.

Universities typically accept GRE score which are taken within 2 years of the application date. As you plan to join in 2018 August. I would suggest suggest take now before the year ends as you may have to retake to improve your scores.
