I have failed in 12th science in gujarat board 2022 if i retake board exam in 2023 can i give neet exam 2023 ?

Sandesh 22nd Jul, 2022

Dear student,

As per the latest updates by National Test Agency, there is no upper age limit for appearing in NEET exam, as before there was certain age limit for NEET eligibility but it has been removed by authority.

The basic eligible criteria for NEET 2022 is on following:

1- Minimum age of the candidate must be 17 years

2- Candidate must need to qualify 12 board examination with minimum 45% for appearing in NEET and with physics. chemistry and biology as mandatory subjects

3- There is no upper age limit.

-------Considering this data we can predict that you have no limit for attempting NEET exam, and if you qualify 12th board exam with minimum 45% you can give as many attempts as you can.

Hence you will be eligible for NEET 2023 if you qualify 12th board exam with minimum qualifying percentage .

I hope you get answer to your question!

Aditya kumar 22nd Jul, 2022

hlwo aspirant

hope you are doing well

sorry to say but you are not eligible to apper in gijcet and in neet cause they demand minimum 75% in boards and as you know your marksheet is not even having passed marks.

so it's impossible to apper in neet or gujcet insted or this I'll suggest you to do again your 11th 12th from opem school. score good marks and then appear in gujcat or neet and crack it.

hope this is helpful for you

best of luck for your future.

Does the marks of prelims and 1st term school exams are counted in final report card in 12th in Gujarat board

Tanya Gupta 29th Jun, 2022

Hello,

No, the marks of prelims and 1st term school exams aren't counted in the final report card. The final report card is based only on the board exam that you give. The prelims and the school exams are for the practice of the student so that they know at what position they are in. You don't need to worry if you scored less in your prelims and school exams.

I hope this helps,

All the best

I am currently studying in class 12. Im from Gujarat board English medium. Im getting problems in MCQ. can you suggest some books to practice MCQ. I follow NCERT Book.

Rehmatunnisa 15th Jun, 2022

Hello,

If you have preparing from ncert and follow the ncert it is best...

I would suggest oswal books for all subjects,it is very good book there are some important points which I mentioned here regarding that book is :

  • The chapterwise questions related to all topics are present in very well and  organised manner
  • Detailed analysis and full summary of chapters are present before the questions.
  • Third and last is that it follows the ncert curriculum and updated with new and important questions

Some of other books are-

For physics: Arihant books,DC Pandey,H C Verma.

For chemistry: Narendra awasthi,MTG books,MS Chauhan,ncert

For biology:ncert and MTG publication books are enough.

The most important things you should remember during MCQ solving is-

  • You should do the time bounded practice, and manage your time.
  • Accuracy is very important.
  • Self analysis is very important.

Thanks!!!

Hope you understand well.

I got 46 percent in class 12th board this year 2022 gujarat board .I am not eligible to give neet what I do . genearal category

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 15th May, 2022

Hi

You have got 46% in 12th  but what is your aggregate in PCB?

This is important because,

Your overall % obtained by you in  class 12th is not considered for Neet eligibility criteria , only your aggregate % in PCB is taken in account for considering your eligibility .

For your reference,

Here's the eligibility criteria for NEET :-

-------------------) Qualification required :-As per Neet eligibility to be eligible one must be either appearing for 12th board examination  or should have passed 12th board examination from any recognised board with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.

†††Important Note :- Students with Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement over it.

-------------------)  Percentage required :- You must get

  • at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category

  • at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

So, if you fulfill this PCB aggregate% requirement as per your category i. e have at least 50 % in Pcb aggregate being a general category student only then you are eligible, otherwise you are nor eligible.

-------------------)  Age limit :-

  • Lower age limit:- to be eligible for neet  one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination .

  • Upper age limit :-There's no upper age limit for NEET. Earlier there was upper age limit  of 25 years which was pending in supreme court, on 9th march 2022 NMC in its notice has removed upper age limit. For details about it checkout :- https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-number-of-attempts-and-age-limit

--------------------) There's no attempt limit for neet.
