Dear Student,
No matter what you have filled in the application form, they will check your documents first then only they forward your application form for the next round. You may get the chance to sit in the entrance exam but in further process they will either disqualify you or change your category to general.
As there is not much difference between OBC creamy layer and general candidate, and you have written something else and your category is something else so they may transfer you to the teh creamy layer candidate by seeing your document or they may change your category to the the general category.
Good Luck :)
Dear Aspirant,
Foreign universities like harvard dont give admission only on based of academics score , academics score matters no doubt but only upto level . Things which are considered mainly are extracircular activities ,STATEMENT OF PURPOSE(what you will to their university and country), Letter of recommendation and yes good band in proficiency test like ILETS . Harvard universities is very top notch and competition is very high , thats y make other backups too.

Hello Aspirant,
B.Sc and M.Sc are science degrees. It stands for bachelors of science and masters in science. It includes either pure sciences like math, physics, chemistry etc or relates science disciplines like agriculture, animation, biochemistry, computer science etc. English falls under Arts, so usually in India it is known as BA English . Harvard University is a prestigious Ivy League institute with the highest level of reputation. Getting an opportunity to study there will be a very enriching experience hence you have an amazing goal. But the Department of English only offers a PhD in English Literature. The program is extremely competitive. They receive an average of 300-350 applications per year, and admit approximately 10-15 students only,so you need to be extremely good .The program takes from four to seven years to complete . And MA is not required for admission to the PhD Program in English. So after 12th finish you BA English from a well recognized and reputed university in India with excellent merit record. For English PhD they accept only TOEFL.A minimum score of 80 on the Internet based test (IBT) on the TOEFL is required ,so along with graduation do prepare for this exam as well, you can do self study or get coaching for the same.
Now as a part of the admission process, various other aspects are considered apart from undergraduate merit and TOEFL score. They include writing samples to test your writing skills, letter of recommendation,a statement of purpose which should be about your interests and strengths and a brief note about you research idea in mind and such. You can visit the official website of Harvard University to know about everything regarding the admission requirement in detail. Right now focus on completing you 10th and 12th with great scores and constantly keep improving your knowledge and skills(speaking and writing) in English. For english there is no specific group you need to take in 11th, in India, in all boards I think English is compulsory language ,so choose any group according to your interest. You can use internet to get a lot of guidance and preparation tips to join Harvard in future.
For any doubt about the program and the admission requirements you may always mail them at engphd@fas.harvard.edu.
All the best

Its very difficult to get a full scholarship at Harvard, but they do offer generous scholarships. They offer assistance by way of loans and fellowships But as reported, nearly half their class gets a scholarship of around $33,000. You need to demonstrate need so they give need-based assistance.
You can always email their financial support office and inquire if they accept any particular external scholarships ( if you have one that is )
I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
