Can I get merit based admission for bsc nuclear medicine in any college of west bengal?

Rajeswari 1st Jun, 2025

Hello Sneha,

Yes you can get admission into BSc Nuclear Medicine in West Bengal, as many colleges accept merit based admission. Some institutions might also have entrance exams, but merit-based admissions are a common option. Students who want to understand advanced radioactive materials and technologies in the medical field can pursue a bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology. Such candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria to get admission in the BSc in Nuclear Medicine Technology course.

Eligibility criteria:

Generally, you'll need to have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as core subjects, with a minimum percentage [often 50% or higher].

Counselling:

After the merit list is published, shortlisted candidates are typically called for counselling and document verification.

Below attached is the link where you can get more detailed information and some list of colleges in West Bengal,

i have 129 marks in hpcet and 88 percent in cbse pcm class 12 . Can i get seat in jngec for btech

Tanisha chaudhary 31st May, 2025

HEY THERE!!

  • With a score of 129 in HPCET and an 88% aggregate in PCM (Class 12 CBSE), your chances of securing a B.Tech seat at Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College (JNGEC), Sundernagar, are quite strong.
  • The eligibility threshold for admission is 45% in PCM, which you have exceeded by a significant margin.
  • Looking at recent trends, a score above 100–120 in HPCET is generally considered competitive for most branches, particularly for candidates from the general category. Your score of 129 positions you well within this competitive range.
  • JNGEC allocates 50% of its seats through the HPCET, while the remaining 50% are filled via JEE Main. With your current HPCET score, you are well-placed for the counselling process.
  • Of course, the final outcome will depend on the individual branch cutoffs, your category, and seat availability at the time of allotment. Still, based on previous years’ cutoffs, your marks are above the typical requirements for most branches.
  • Remaining attentive to the counselling schedule and procedures will be important to maximize your chances.

I am in EWS (reserved category) and I have scored 110 in HPCET. Will I get admission in JNGEC.?

Prachi Kumari 18th May, 2025

Hello,

Based on your HPCET score of 110 and your EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category status, your chances of securing admission to Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College (JNGEC), Sundernagar , are uncertain

While specific cut-off marks for JNGEC are not publicly available, previous data indicates that candidates in reserved categories, such as EWS, have been admitted with scores ranging from 70 to 90 marks in various colleges.

However, JNGEC is a government college, and competition is typically higher. Therefore, while your score might meet the minimum qualifying criteria, it may not be sufficient for admission in the first round. You may still have a chance in subsequent rounds if seats remain vacant.

To enhance your prospects, consider participating in the counselling process and exploring other colleges as well.

Hope it helps !

harsh singh 17th May, 2025

Yes, with 202 marks in HPCET (General category), you are eligible for B.Pharmacy admission. Some colleges had cutoffs below your score—for example, Himachal Institute of Pharmacy had a cutoff of 195. You may not get top colleges, but you have a good chance in others. Make sure to register for counseling on the HPTU website.

I got 100 marks in HPCET. will i get admission .

Prachi Kumari 18th May, 2025

Hello,

Getting 100 marks in HPCET is good, but admission depends on the cut-off for your chosen course and college.

If your score meets or is above the cut-off for that course, you can get admission. It’s best to check the official cut-off list or counselling details to know for sure.

Hope it helps !

i have scored 72 in HPCET (obc category). can i get govt college on behalf of this score?

kumardurgesh1802 2nd Sep, 2024

Hello Nandini,

Scoring 72 in HPCET under the OBC category gives you a chance to secure a seat in a government college, but it depends on the cutoffs for the year, the number of applicants, and seat availability.

Government colleges generally have higher cutoffs, especially for popular branches like CSE or ECE. However, your category might give you an advantage in getting a seat in less competitive branches. It's advisable to check the previous year's cutoff trends and participate in counseling to explore your options.

sir i got 218 marks in hpcet 2024 gen category can i get good govt college

kumardurgesh1802 16th Sep, 2024

Hello there,

With 218 marks in HPCET 2024 and belonging to the General category, your chances of securing a seat in a good government college will depend on several factors:

  1. Cutoff Trends: Review the previous years' cutoff marks for government colleges in Himachal Pradesh. This will give you an idea of whether your score is competitive enough.

  2. Course Preferences: Different courses (Engineering, Pharmacy, etc.) have different cutoffs. Check the specific cutoffs for the course you are interested in.

  3. College Options: Some government colleges may have a higher cutoff for popular branches like Computer Science or Electronics, while other branches may have lower cutoffs.

  4. Counseling Rounds: Attend all rounds of counseling as seats may become available in subsequent rounds. Be flexible with your choices to increase your chances.

  5. Special Categories: If you belong to any special category (like HP state domicile), check if any additional reservations apply to you.

In general, a score of 218 is competitive, but securing a seat in a top-tier government college will depend on how it matches with the cutoff trends and availability of seats in your preferred course. Keep an eye on official announcements and the counseling process for the most accurate information.
