For HITSEEE exam you need to learn from NCERT books as well as some reference books. First you need to thoroughly read your NCERTs and then for further details about a particular topic you can use the reference books. The eligibility criteria of HITSEEE is that the candidates seeking admission to the first year of B.Tech degree programme must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (12th) prescribed by the State Board/Intermediate/Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi)/The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi) with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry or equivalent subjects. To apply in HITSEEE 2019 ,one must have cleared class 12 or equivalent with minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry exam as prescribed by Tamil Nadu Government. And the upper age limit must be 19 years old as on April 30, 2019.

For Vocational Stream Applicants- Must have a minimum of 50% marks in the related subjects and vocational subjects both theory and practical.

The conducting body for this entrance exam is also Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai itself.
