Yes, for the civil services exam, BA Hons. with history would definitely be fine. You can choose it for the optional paper in your Mains exam too. You have a whole lot of around 25 subjects to choose. So be wise in what you choose.

Yes you can get admission in good college of DU in physics /chemistry /history /economics.  with 88% in 12th . As DU has 90 colleges affilated to it. Being Sc candidate you get an advantage of getting good college of DU till last round.

There are 2 types of questions. One is of general knowledge and second one is related to ur subject in UG. For GK , U have to aware of current affairs and simple GK. Since you have chosen B.com Hons then you should have knowledge about the subjects.
