Hello,
If there is any other course that equally interests you as much as history, then you may give it a though to pursue major in the same along with having history as elective, this way you can also prepare for upsc having history as optional at least you will be well acquainted with the syllabus, and talking from the perspective of UPSC, you can go for graduation in political science, geography, economics, public administration, sociology to name a few as there is considerable overlap of the syllabus of these subjects with that of general studies and optional subjects, the rest is up to you, think clearly about your choices and then make a decision regarding it, you can also discuss it with your parents, they too will be able to guide you better by providing their inputs, but eventually what matters is your choice, your interest and this should be aligned with your career goals,
All the best!

Hi Shani,
JNU is an excellent college in terms of educational facilities, faculties and peer groups. If the subjects mentioned i.e. political science, history, sociology etc. excites you, do go for it. However, do not choose a college just because of its name, consider the subjects you're getting with more priority as sooner or later you'll start hating them if they do not motivate you.
So as to simplify my answer, give preference to the course and then college.
Hello there!
Hope you are doing fine.
DU release about 7-8 cut off lists for admission in various courses and colleges.
In first or second list, cut off marks goes as high as 97-98% for admission in top colleges.
But it depend on many factors like no. of students applying, average marks of students, etc.
Also, cut off for reserved categories goes a little lesser.
So, with these marks it may be difficult to get admission in first three cut off lists.
You can check your chances of getting admission in desired course and college by clicking the link below:

Hope it helps.
