Im pass 12th in Arts in hindi. I can join ihm

Nancy Johri 22nd Dec, 2017

Hi,

For getting admission to any IHM, you need to appear for a joint entrance exam conducted by National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). As per its eligibility criteria, candidates must have passed 10+2 system of senior secondary examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects. Passing English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination is mandatory.

So, if you have not studied English in 10+2, then you will not be allowed to appear for the entrance exam.

Im doing b.com and this is my last year in b.com and i want to do hospitality, which collages are best for me

Anonymous 10th Nov, 2017

subash, hospitality is a very wide domain. From front office to catering, it has a range of entry points and different qualitifications that will give you an opening.

As a graduate, you could still go back and do a diploma from IHM, the hotel management institution chain set up by GOI. But you will have no credit for your B.Com. And one also has to see if you fall within that age group.

Alternatively you could look at B-Schools which offer Hospitality as a specialisation. But most instituions would have travel and tourism as a core domain. Many universiites like Amity, SRM, Hindustan and others offer MBAs with specialistion in hospitality managment.
