After completing your degree, you can join government/ private shipping companies and various port agencies in India or in abroad. Shipping industries are one of the best sectors to make your career. Marine engineers can also join the merchant navy.
You can work in the shipping and navy departments.

Are the CCMC courses considered to be costly?

Hey,

The course fees for Pre-Sea Course for General Purpose Rating is Rs. 1,20,000 – 2,00,000 which is to be paid by the candidates in one or instalments as per institute norms. It differs  from institution to institution and also it isn't considered to be much costlier when done from good institution which lead you to a high paid jobs.

Hi Sumi,

Yes, the CCMC course includes STCW 95 in it as a mandatory one.

The CCMC is a course of 6 months durations which involves :-

•Tranning in food production; 

•Food and beverage services;

•House keeping

•Maritime familiarisation 

+ STCW 95 course.

Is IMU a govt. college and does it provide the Certificate Course Of Maritime Catering?If Yes,what is the fee structure?

Hi Sumi,

Yes , IMU is a central university, providing high class education in the field of maritime. 

It provides admissions to different courses like:- B.Sc. ;  B.tech ; M.tech and diploma courses too.

The diploma course in IMU is offered in Nautical Science whose fee is as follows :-

1.for males- 2,20,000/-

2.for females- 1,40,500/-

The duration of this diploma course is of 1 year.

Age limit os 17-25 years.

And, the admissions are generally based on the marks of IMU-CET.

In order to get enrolled in cruise ship hospitality services one needs to complete a course in :
Diploma in hospitality and cruise ship management or
Diploma in cruise ship hotel operations management

You need to complete this course for cruise ship hospitality management services.

Hence the aim of these courses is to prepare the students for employment in the international cruise ship industry.
