Recently eligibility criteria for nits has been changed by hrd minister now i got 92 percentile in january mains and 96%percent in 12th class and i dont have ews certificate now can i get an admission in any nit

Hetvi Bhansali 25th Jul, 2020

hello,

According to the rank you have got, you can apply for any of the NITs, and participate in the JOSAA councelling. however, getting an admission largely depends on what category you belong to. As NITs also have home state quota, you can also go for a NIT in your state.

you can get the accurate cuttoff on the website of JOSAA or NTA.

i passed 12 th 2019 with 54% after 3 papers improvement paper 2020 I got 63% on 12 th exam. If i pass jee main 2020 .will I elegible for NIT admission? please any one give me correct answer help me. HRD minister for 2020 advance kept only 12 th pass eligibility.

Rishi Garg 20th Jul, 2020

Yes, this is correct that HRD minister only mentioned "JEE Advanced" and did not mention anything about JEE Main, but he mentioned the reason to be scrapping of some board exams. Also, JEE Advanced and IITs admissions are considered to be superior than JEE Main and NITs admissions, so it is very highly likely that the admissions to NITs will also be taken without taking into consideration the board marks of the candidates.

Hope it helps.

Whats the news about jeemain by that HRD MINISTER? can anybody provide the latest updates.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 3rd Jul, 2020
Well, the MHRD did ask NTA to decide new dates for both NEET and JEE Mains. Inturn, NTA formed a panel and asked them to give their opinion by July 3rd. Today being July 3rd, we are expecting some information from NTA. NTA will give the new dates to MHRD. So the chances that NEET and JEE Mains will be postponed are likely. The decision about NEET and JEE Mains 2020 will take a little sooner than expected.Because there are many factors that need to be considered. There might be Candidates who must have tested positive, who are in containment zones and there are also places where transport has also been suspended. Considering all these factors and taking a call on NEET and JEE Mains will take a while.Meanwhile the parents of Candidates who were supposed to be appearing for NEET 2020 from Middle Asia have filed a case in the Supreme Court to either postpone NEET or set up examination centres in the Middle East. But then MHRD and NTA did inform that conducting NEET abroad is not possible. And also parents have sent a request to the MHRD to postpone both NEET and JEE Mains keeping in mind the ongong hike in the Positive Corona Cases. The HRD also needs to consult the Health Ministry for taking a decision because it needs MCI's aproval to conduct the exams abroad for those Students who are NRIs.. So we still need to wait to hear from them.

when did hrd minister come live on news channel

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 28th Jun, 2020

As of now, there is no information regarding this but his official twitter handle has some tweets regarding various issues and innovative measures being taken by the Government. The last tweet was 15 minutes back. And amid all this the Centre has not taken any decision regarding NEET and JEE Mains scheduled for July.  So we still need to wait to hear from them. Today being Sunday, we only might hear from them on Monday or the next week.

any update about neet by HRD minister??

Sk Student Expert 27th Jun, 2020

Hi

As per your question according to the data Just like JEE, NEET is a essential examination for the careers

of college students and is conducted throughout India for admission to medical colleges. The NEET

entrance exam is currently scheduled for July 26.

Concerned mother and father and students have known as for both JEE and NEET to be cancelled

however NTA which also conducts the NEET exam is yet to take a final call.

The matter of whether or not NEET could be postponed or cancelled or executed online might be clearer

once Ramesh Pokhriyal makes the announcement expected today.

Some states have even requested for JEE and NEET to be cancelled absolutely for this 12 months and

instead perform university admissions the use of class 12 marks.

Hope helpful.

when will hrd minister declare about the neet exam....

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th Jun, 2020

The latest information that we have is that CBSE exams have been cancelled. The CBSE exams that have been scheduled for July 1st to 5th have been cancelled as per CBSE's decision. The same has been conveyed to the Supreme Court as well. Students have an option to appear in the examination only if they wish to. But if they do not wish to appear for the examination, then their performance in the last 2 examinations will be considered to grant them marks.  At this point in time, news about NEET and JEE Mains are all speculative. NTA will also have to consider many other factors before postponing NEET.  they were waiting to hear from CBSE because the process of calculating the eligibility depends on the decision of CBSE. There might be a change in the schedule of the exam. We do not have clear information as such as of now. There might be an official statement atleast tomorrow or the day after.  Please wait to hear from MHRD regarding this. You can ask either check the official news .We are expecting some information regarding JEE and NEET atleast by the 26th June. If NEET scheduled for July gets postponed, it might happen in August. September might be too late. But again this is just a speculation. The Supreme Court will give its verdict on CBSE's decision today and so after that the MHRD might take a call on NEET and JEE Mains.
