HS exam
Hello Tanusri,
Congrats on a good score in 12th. Being from humanities stream , you have a wide range of options and it basically depends on your interest area, skills aptitude and future career goals. Also since you have not mentioned the combination of subjects you had in 12th it is a little difficult to say.Sociology, history, literature, psychology, political science, philosophy, economics are some common and popular fields in humanities. You may choose based on your liking to these and get into a teaching or research career after completing PhD if your are interested. UPSC is also an option if you are interested in civil services. You may also choose law as a career if you think it fits you and go for 5 years BA LLB. Mass communication and journalism is also an attractive career if you are good in English . Now if you are more inclined and skilled towards media and creative arts you can take up visual media course. Similarly, if you are creative and interesting in fashion you can go for fashion designing . Above all , if you are good at performing arts you may take up degrees in music, dance or theatre.

Hello aspirant
No, not at all, After dropping one year , there is no deduction in marks of Xii board. Sometimes students have to drop one year due to preparation for entrance exam or any other reason , in that case their board marks remain same and their recent marks for entrance exam are considered.
For admission to hons course or any other ug program, you will have to fulfill the eligibility criteria and age criteria for that year. Some universities may ask for gap Certificate .
