sir, I am got 85 percent marks in my HSC exam under West Bengal board and i get 87 percent marks in PCB but i am failed in math. Sir, can i eligible for NEET?? Answer please..

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 18th Jul, 2020

Hello

It's ok even if you have failed  in your 12th math examination as maths marks are not considered for Neet eligibility but have you passed your 12th board in overall?

If you are overall pass in your board examination then yes you are eligible for Neet examination as you have got 87% in PCB and thus satisfy
Neet eligibility criteria says that,
to be eligible one must have passed in English and in both the theory and practical of PCB with at least50 % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th examination if you belong to general category , or  at least40%in aggregate of PCB if belongs toObc/ Sc /st

Can I use the isolated subject option in Maharashtra hsc to do bio subject and then be eligible to get admission in medical colleges through neet 2021 ? I have done class 12 with pcm in 2019. Also can I know exactly how this isolated subject option works ?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 11th Jul, 2020

hi,

see you can definitely take biology as an isolated subject from recognized education board like nios or other state board to become eligible for neet ug exam.

the basic eligibility criteria for neet ug is candidates need to study physics, chemistry biology and english as a subject in 12th standard and must score the qualifying exam.

marks criteria is as follows as per category wise,

general category-50% aggregate marks in pcb in 10+2 course

sc/st/obc category-40% aggregate marks in pcb in 10+2 course.

In hsc exam 2020 , will commerce student gets grace marks in maths to pass ? 12 hsc 2020 result date ?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 30th May, 2020

hi,

see it depends on the exam authority, if they decided that questions is too tough and the number of failure candidates is large than they may decided to give grace marks to all candidates, however it is not like every year grace marks is given for all subjects. you need to check the latest news of your education board for more details about marking system.
