1. Qualifying the NET JRF examination can enable you to get a job in the government sectors related to your field. Also, you can then pursue a PhD in the subject of your choice.
2. There is no problem in that. As long as you had the subject in either your Bachelors or Masters, you can give the exam in that subject too.

Yes sure you can apply to JNU for MBA. But for that you have to give the CAT Exam. The CAT exam scores have 70% weightage and personal interview round will have around 30% weightage. JNU will use the CAT score for shortlisting/ selecting candidates for MBA programme.
