Mendel gave 3 laws-

1) law of segregation-it states that during the formation of reproductive cells,pairs of hereditary factors for a specific trait seperate so that offspring recieve one factor from each parent.

2) law of independent assortment-it states that chance determines which factor for a particular trait

As far as I know and according to previous year notifications, there is no age limit in qualifying criteria of gate. So you can surely appear in gate 2019 whatever be your age.

             Sorry to say this. It is difficult to get Mechanical Engineering in NIT Jalandhar with your rank. But the chance of getting other courses in NIT Jalandhar is high for your rank.
