If you are planning to get admission in NITs like NIT Agartala then more than 125 would be enough but if you wish to get seat in top NITs then approx 250 for core branches like CS,MS,EE etc would be required.

Chances should be above average with this score to get seat in Govt colleges in the same and decent in private colleges. So I would suggest you to try for both.
