I got 83 percentile can I get ibs hyderabad??
Hello aspirant,
IBSAT is the basis for the MBA cutoff for IBS Hyderabad. Applicants may also apply for admission to the MBA programme at IBS Hyderabad if they have a valid CAT or NMAT score. Candidates who satisfy the 85 percentile CAT cutoff and the 150 percentile NMAT score are qualified for an MBA at IBS Hyderabad, based on past year trends.
With 83 percentile, it will be quite tough for you to get IBS Hyderabad.

should I consider taking admission in ibs hyderabad?
Hi Saurabh!! Hope you are doing well!! According to me, IBS Hyderabad would be a good choice for completing your mba course. IBS Hyderabad will charge you alot of money in terms of fees and there are less chances that you will get placed at a good place. It won't be a good return on investment and i would say a waste of money. The studying environment is also not good and its faculties are also below average . Theri exam pattern can also exhaust you. So in my opinion you should try some other great business schools in india rather than going here. Keep it as your last option.
what about IBS Hyderabad is it any problems
IBS Hyderabad is situated in Telangana state of India. The admission in the institute is done through exams such as CAT,XAT,IBSAT,GMAT. Various courses offered are BBA, Ph. D, executive MBA, PGP. In terms of placements, the highest package offered has gone up-to 16.32 lpa whereas average package ranges from 7.32-8 lpa. Which IBS is best Mumbai or Hyderabad regarding placements?
Hello Mrinal
Definitely Hyderabad. But if you are specific about getting a decent job after MBA and that too in banking or financial sector, you can choose Mumbai too.
Hyderabad campus is for learning on how business runs, experience the great knowledge from awesome people. Mumbai is to get a degree and lets be prepared for a Job in MNC / Bank.
I have score 64.59 in ibs selection process so I got Admission in IBS ahmedabad but I want Admissiom
Hello Harsh,
I am afraid you might have missed IBS Mumbai by about 0.41 marks or so. IBS Mumbai generally accepts students with 65 or above. This is common. I too have missed colleges by such point difference. This is why you were given Ahmedabad instead of Mumbai through IBSAT.
Hope this helps.
Its better to go IBS Hyderabad or I will drop 1 year for preparation?
Dear aspirant....!!
In IBS you have to compromise with at least one of them. One of my favorite faculty of IBS (actually everyone's most favorite sir) once said, “Go for the profile first it is the most important in long run, then brand name, then package. You can’t get EVERYthing here.” But with a high investment of 14 lakhs its difficult to keep calm. There will be hell lot of pressure, mark my word. You can’t predict the nature of work until you start working there. Most of the profile makes you do sales (talking about marketing, don’t have much idea of finance and HR), you are gonna hate it but that’s where everyone actually starts from.
That’s all about placements rest all IBS is best in everything from case based studies (you must know IBS PHD and its cases are world class and counted in the row with Harvard’s cases), good infrastructure and good mess facility, club & cell are gonna keep you engaged and my favorite was the semester exam pattern (not the internal exam-they were exactly opposite-bad). IBS overall is a great experience it teaches you a lot, may be because of the high intake and competition. You don’t just graduate from IBS, you survive IBS.
From my point of view go and take admission in IBS Hyderabad.
Hope your query is solved!
All the best!
Hello i hed been through ibs selection process i scored 74.79percentile but i want to join in Hyderabad campus do i have any possibility?
Hi Bharat, the cutoff varies every year based on various factors like number of seats available, number of test takers, difficulty level of exams etc. Howver going by the past records, the cutoff for CAT/XAT is around 60 percentile, for GMAT it is around 500 and above and for NMAT scores it is around 150 score. So on the score obtained, you have chances to get call from Hyderabad campus mostly.
