which is better among imt hyderabad and ibs hyderabad?

Shravan Hari 13th Feb, 2019

Hi Prachi, on comparison of both I would say IBS Hyderabad is way better than IMT Hyderabad. IBS Hyderabad has a very good academic syllabus which is at par with the Harvard standards. The package wise also IBS Hyderabad has an edge over IMT wherein the average package at IMT is around 6.5 lpa whereas in IBS it is around 8-9 lpa. The fees is slightly higher in IBS and the batch size is quite big in IBS which are some of the disadvantage of IBS, but according to placements and teaching and syllabus standards, it is IBS which makes it the best among the two, although both the colleges are top in Hyderabad domicile.

How is Alliance School of business Bangalore, should i apply if i have no option other then IBS HYD . Also is IBS good of Alliance college ?

Bhuvan Chilaka 14th May, 2019

Kushal,

There are still many options for you. I think all the Business Schools oin India are good in their own parameters, but you should consider which one is the best for you. Between Alliance Busiess School and IBS Hyderabad, my vote will stay with IBS. However, the biggest challenge for IBS is the number of students. They have got 1200+ intake and campus size is only 90Acre. How do the students fit in? Also their feedback are not great. Many students complained in different platforms about the placements.

I would suggest you can take a look at another Busienss School in Hyderabad - Woxsen School of Business. They have a huge campus of 200-acre with all international level facilities, good faculty (80-90% from old IIMs - ABC), good grooming programs, great industry exposure and 100% placement with INR 8LPA average package and INT 22+LPA highest package. I have been a students of the college, so I know. They also give good scholarship. So if you want to take your career to the next level, you may seriously look for this college. See if they have any more seats left this year.

Is IBS (HYD & MUMBAI) good college for marketing field also can you tell me difference between MBA & PGPM COURSE ?

Sunil Su. 26th Jan, 2019

hello aspirant,

yes IBS MUMBAI and IBS HYDERABAD  are good for marketing.

especially IBS hyderabad is one of the best among all IBS campuses.

well, the difference between MBA  and PGPM  is explained below:

1)MBA ,is the master of business administration

2)PGPM  is the post graduate diploma  in management or post graduate program in management

a one year PGPM programme is not equivalent to MBA .

PGDM is a 2 year programme duration.

The only difference between MBA and PGDM  is

MBA degree is offered by universities, affilated universities or colleges.

while PGDM degree is offered by the institutions approved by AICTE.

curiculum  designed for MBA IS designed by universities and curriculum designed for pgdm is designed by individual institutes

PGPM is an award programme,  students who pursues for a pgpm will not qualify for higher studies though it is recognised by AICTE Or not.

hope you understand,

thank you

I got selected for IBS Selection Process. How difficult would it be to get IBS Hyderabad campus ?

ruchika.chauhan Expert 17th Jan, 2019

Hello Vaibhav

You have a good work experience which will definitely help you in the final selection process. However, admission also depends on your score in the entrance exam ( IBSAT/ GMAT® /NMAT by GMACTM/CAT) and your performance in the GD/PI.

Also, I would suggest that with such a good work experience you also can aim for any other top college. Make a wise decision.

Good Luck!
