And 25% of the total seats are reserved under the ICAR quota for the candidates of other states. These seats are filled through All India Entrance Examination by ICAR.

The ICAR examination is a comprehensive one to score ,so the eligibility for any M.Sc  course in agricultural university is minimum of 50% for the backward cast. In soil science course there are only 3 seats available in ICAR and 11 for reservation for each year. You can also explore the reservation opportunity for this university.

However, the reservation of the seat for OBC is 29% in every course and the faculty will be reserved for you. The there should be a minimum of 50% marks from your undergraduate and performing  well in the entrance exam. The ratio of   selection criteria will be 30:70 .

The previous cut off rank for this university was 1473(score:421).

Indian Council of Agricultural Research ( ICAR ) conducts entrance exam for different level, which are:

• ICAR UG (For Undergraduate programs)
• ICAR PG (For post graduate programs)

So it depends on you, which level you want to pursue.

For Fishery, Mathematics is not required in 10+2 curriculum, but Biology, Physics and Chemistry are necessary.

see there is many colleges available in india which provides m.sc in forestry admission to students who have done b.sc courses on relevant disciple from a recognized university. now being Affiliated to ICAR is not mandatory to all college.

The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in the concrened discipline.  for each subject group from a recognized University with CGPA / OGPA of not less than 2.25/4.00 or 6.00 / 10.00 or an equivalent CGPA / OGPA. No, it is not compulsory to write ICAR exam. But if you write the exam it would increase your  chance to get a BSc agriculture seat easily as 40% seats are reserved for this ICAR exam rankings. Even if you don’t write the exam you would still get the seat based on KCET ranking.

ICAR AIEEA is conducted by National Testing Acency (NTA) every year. ICAR is a national level test conducted for offering admission in UG and PG programs.
