Mohammed Faiz 3rd Nov, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

The minimum marks required for OBC Candidate in ICAR exam to get a seat into agricultural college should be not less than 50%. So if an OBC candidate scores 50% or more in the examination he would have high chances of getting a seat.

Hope this helps

my score is 93 in icar 2020 can i get a college?, genral category

Mohammed Faiz 3rd Nov, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

For getting seat with score in ICAR 2020 General category students need to score 50% and SC category students need to score 40% minimum which means that If SC category student he needs to score 200+ whereas in your case an General category student should score 400+ marks to be in the safer zone for getting an seat. So as your score is quite low your having very little chances of getting an seat.

Hope this helps

Good Luck

My daughters obtained marks is 96 in ICAR UG 2020 and SC Category, WB Domicile. Please suggest.

Debdeep Pramanik 2nd Nov, 2020

It's hard to get any popular or well established agriculture University with the score. Candidates securing 300+ marks in ICAR AIEEA from general category and 180+ marks from SC category as a good score. such candidates will have chance to get admission under all India quota in popular agricultural universities. However the candidate can not be eligible to get admission in top 3 Universities of West Bengal for agriculture Viswa Bharati, PSBVB (Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya) and Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya.

Hope it would be helpful.

My obtained marks in ICAR 2020 is 96 and SC Category. Can I get admission any chance ?

Gbharath Raj 2nd Nov, 2020

Hello Aspirant ,

The NTA conducts ICAR AIEEA entrance exam for admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in agriculture and allied sciences. The percentage needed for undergraduate courses in the case of general category is 50% and for the rest of the categories it is 40%. For SC category you should minimum 200+ to stand a chance. So I am afraid it might be very difficult for you to get college through ICAR score anyways you may try , if you are lucky based on the availability of seats you may get . You may also try for any college which accepts on the basis of 12th merit in case you do not get through ICAR.

i m getting 200 marks in icar .... what were the chances of getting any govt icar college?

theeanonymous 2nd Nov, 2020

Hello Aspirant ,

For general category the minimum percentage required to get a good college is 50% and for other categories it is 40%. Usually 300+ is a safe score to get a decent college and 400-450+ for top ones. There are only limited number of seats in most colleges so the competition is high. With you score of 200 it is not possible to government college, especially if you are from general category. You may try for any low ranked college .

The 2020 all India based expected cutoffs  for various categories are :

General category: 450

OBC category- 430

SC category-365

ST category-310

I got 305 in ICAR AIEEE exam what scope I have in government agriculture college

theeanonymous 3rd Nov, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

It is difficult to say about the exact admission possibilities because cutoffs changes every year and it depends on number of seats available in each college , number of candidates applying for that particular course , your category etc. Now since you have not mentioned your category I assume you are from general category . In that case this mark is not enough to fetch you government college as per previous year cutoffs .  If you belong to reserved category , then probably you will have a fair chance because 300+ is usually considered to be a safe/decent score for a good college but again a top ranked government college is very doubtful especially if the competition is high. Below are the expected cutoffs for this year:

General category: 450

OBC category- 430

SC category-365

ST category-310

Apart from ICAR deemed universities these are some good state agriculture colleges:

G B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology,Pantnagar

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University,Ludhiana

Punjab Agricultural University,Ludhiana

Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University,Guntur

Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology,Ayodhya    State Agricultural Universities

Agriculture University Jodhpur ,Jodhpur

Anand Agricultural University,Anand

Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University,Hisar

The chances for you to get admission to any college on the basis of ICAR marks is extremely low . The minimum percentage required for your category is 40% in ICAR. The category wise expected cutoffs are :

General category: 450

OBC category- 430

SC category-365
